Being amongst the retail world every other day, I have yet to see any sign of consumers tightening their belts.
Cash registers are busy, people are in the stores (perhaps some only browsing, but plenty are buying) but most importantly stores are cleverly offering great discounts to entice us in.
Over the past few weeks my clients have benefited from some real cash-saving offers from retailers-
Buy one get the 2nd half price, buy 2 items get a 3rd for free, 20% discount when you spend $150, 30% off storewide, sign up for Loyalty Card and receive discount on first purchase, $20 off for every $70 spent and even a $20 cash back when you trade in your old boots!
When times are tough it’s great to see the stores offering shoppers some great incentives to spend money.
Here are some things you can do to make sure you don’t miss out on special offers:
1. Sign up to as many loyalty programs, VIP cards, email subscriptions as you can. Most retailers including the big department stores such as Myer have their own cards that can be joined for free, no strings attached.
