I love knee-high boots but they do divide opinion. Some people love them, some people hate them. It’s not often something so well-designed and stylish divides so many. But clearly I’m a fan, with a little snooping you’ll see that I have talked about knee high boots and how to style them before.
As soon as the weather turns a touch cooler, I’m in my wardrobe polishing up my favourite pair of knee-highs ready for the winter ahead. Yet for others, there’s a slight aversion to the style believing it will make them look Pretty Woman-esque (the working girl Julia, not the post-makeover Julia)
I don’t mind if you’re a non-believer as being a personal stylist, I know there’s a pair of knee-high boots with your name on them and I can help you find them! Knee high boots are making a comeback this season, with barely an ankle boot spotted on the streets at this year’s Fashion Festivals around the world.
Adding a new pair of trendsetting knee-high boots to your wardrobe this winter will see you confidently pounding the pavement. Leading into the new season, here are my must have choices on knee-high boots:
Preslee by Wittner $390
An easy colour to ease your way into considering whether a knee high boot is for you, is tan. This style from Wittner is made with soft, cognac leather and are the perfect accompaniment to denim.
Leather knee-high boots by Scanlan Theodore $1,250
These boots are striking and you’ll definitely turn heads wearing them. The stone-colour makes them a statement piece that will ensure you stand out from the crowd, and will work back with literally everything in your wardrobe.
Morgan leather boot by Witchery $349.95
Still not convinced about knee-high boots? The slick, stylish and subtle design of these Witchery boots makes them wearable for any occasion. Another great tan option for those who prefer a more classic look.
Bianca Buccheri Chiara boot by Dolci Firme $238
Do you love a bargain as much as I do? If so, get to Dolci Firme as these knee-highs are reduced from $759! That’s a massive saving for Italian handcrafted soft leather boots. Don’t miss out, limited sizes available!
Lucille choc croc calf boots by Tony Bianco $429.95
You’ll be a celebrity in the jungle (or city) with these croc-printed boots crafted with genuine brown leather. The pointed toe adds style and will pair seamlessly with a dress or skirt and if you like a 70’s vibe, these are perfect to team back with your vintage styles.
Guilia choc como long boots by Tony Bianco $399.95
If croc-print is not your thing, Tony Bianco still has you sorted with their Guilia boot featuring a wide-leg fit ending just below the knee, with a thin 6.5cm stiletto heel. The extra room in the calves allows you to style over your fave skinnies.
Quivella I by Senso $345
With a cowboy inspired style, these Senso boots are in a delicious suede chocolate brown (are you seeing a brown theme here?) The block heel means they’ll be comfortable to wear all day, and the contrasting materials (leather and suede) keep the shoe interesting and unique.
Maxim snakeskin boot by Nine West $359.95
If you like to make a statement with your accessories then this style is for you! Team back this gold and snakeskin pair with your wardrobe neutrals for a chic winter update. Can you imagine these shoes with all white? I can!
In the words of Game of Thrones ‘winter is coming’ and in the words of me, embrace winter head-on and you can do that while sporting a stylish and trendsetting pair of knee-high boots!
My must-haves above will suit both knee-high aficionados or those still unsure whether the style trend is for them. Give them a shot or call me for some personal style advice!
